Field trips at Arrowhead Orchard are a little different this year. We allow for school fieldtrips to enjoy the Fall Activities on Mondays & Fridays only, in September & October. They start on 9/4 thru 10/26/20. Hours of operation are from 9am-6pm.
Scheduled time frames & pricing will be the same as regular public hours. $9/adult & student; age 55 & above are $7/person; age 2 & younger are free.
Fall Activities include: Family Friendly Activity Area, Sunflower Walk & a 2-acre Corn Maze.
U-pick Activities include: u-pick apples, u-pick pumpkins or u-cut sunflowers, while supplies last. Classes are welcome to enjoy one or all activities. U-pick activities are priced accordingly.
There are slides, swings, climbing, jumping & rolling activities in a country, open air atmosphere; a grass maze for smaller children and a large 2 acre corn maze.
There are hayrides into the orchard where the classroom can enjoy the ride or stop to pick apples, sunflowers or pumpkins, while quantities last. Picking bags contain 25-50 apples approximately & cost between $10-$30 depending on the variety that is being picked that day. U-pick pumpkins from the patch range in price from $1-$25. Or, the class can preorder small pumpkins for $2 each & not stop at the pumpkin patch. To enter the Sunflower Walk, your group will need to purchase a half gallon glass jar for $12.00 that you fill with flowers. Additional flowers are $2 each. One U-Cut Sunflower is part of the admission stamp to the Activity Play Area or 2-Acre Corn Maze, while supplies last.
The Applehouse Farm Market will be open during these hours also. We sell apple cider slushies, baked cookies, donut holes & caramel apples. We have Candlelight Catering Food Truck & Double Duce Kettle Corn vendors on site also. We highly recommend students be closely monitored to allow for social distancing & safety.
We provide each classroom with an area to eat snacks or lunch for 30 minutes free of charge. Picnic tables & awnings, cider with 3oz cups & a large pumpkin for each classroom, is provided. You can bring in your own food for the classroom or use our food vendors.
Face masks can be used on all activities, especially the hayrides & train cart rides. Your group is welcome to enjoy themselves on our 100 acre farm with plenty of country air & space. Mondays & Fridays will provide a quieter atmosphere for easier social distancing. We have handwashing stations throughout the farm, orchards & activity areas. Picnic tables & activities will be cleaned periodically with an environmental friendly sanitizer.
We do not provide an educational program with our school fieldtrips. We have parking space for cars or buses. Please call 330-614-2947 to schedule a fieldtrip.
Handicap guests: Wheelchairs can be accommodated on a hayride. Please preschedule. The land is rolling and hilly with stony roads which can be a problem for manual wheelchairs. There is a handicap port-a-jon but no place is provided to change clothes.
The price per person is $9. Children 2 years & under are free. The price for senior citizens age 55 years & above is $7.
We accept cash, check or credit card. With Purchase Order (PO), invoice will be sent.
Please call the orchard cell phone for scheduling and/or questions. 330-614-2947.
