We accept applications at anytime. However, we hire the majority of our employees for the busy fall season. We will review your application and contact you only if we have a position for you or if we would like to schedule a followup interview. We keep all applications on file and review them as positions become available. If we don’t contact you right away, it does not mean we might not contact you in the future. Every Arrowhead Orchard Employee is a seasonal employee, how long the season lasts depends on the department and position for which you are hired. When business allows in the spring and summer we first review recent employees for re-hire before hiring new employees.

Seasonal Farm Market Retail Clerk

Departments: Grading Room, Farm Market

Seasonal Apple Grader Schedule:

Training begins September. Schedule includes rare Saturday. Must be available weekdays 8am-3pm, usually Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

Description: Seasonal Apple Grader
Part time employment throughout the fall, winter and spring seasons; washing, grading and bagging fruit. Some employees lift 30-40lb crates repetitively while others stand and grade apples at belted tables and bag produce for stores and schools.
Will train employee in apple grading and equipment operation. 

Responsibilities:
• Assists the Grading Team with washing, grading and sorting produce, and bagging produce for wholesale and retail markets.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of grading room and equipment.
• Cooperates well with fellow team members. Participates in miscellaneous Grading Room tasks as needed. 

Job Requirements:
Education, Skills, Qualifications:
• Professional work experience in any area preferred. 
• Possesses a strong work ethic and respect for employer.
• Self-motivated, attentive to details, able to manage time effectively and execute tasks independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with the staff.
• Ability to be able to commit to seasonal part time work weekdays throughout the year.

• Interested in retired senior citizens and all younger adults.

Seasonal Farm Market Retail Clerk Schedule:

Open daily Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm; Sunday 11am-6pm, August through December. Variable hours available.

The "Applehouse" Farm Market features peach, nectarine and apple varieties, frozen baked goods, homemade cookies, candy, jams, condiments, cheeses, butters, apple ciders/juices and coffees along with many seasonal items, crafts and gifts.

The Grading Room washes and grades apples for size, quality and distribution to local stores and schools.

Description: Seasonal Farm Market Retail Clerk or Seasonal Fall Market Retail Assistant
Help with various produce display, stocking of shelves, cashiering, bagging fruit in or around cold storage rooms at 34 degrees Farenheit as well as provide excellent customer service. September and October weekends extra retail assistance needed. Employee may be trained in produce knowledge, grading and cashiering.

Responsibilities:
• Assists the Applehouse Team with stocking, sorting, displaying and maintaining full displays of produce.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness of farm market and cares for tools including cleaning, safe storage, etc.
• Cooperates well with fellow team members.  Participates in miscellaneous Farm  Market tasks as needed. 

Job Requirements:
Education, Skills, Qualifications:
• Professional work experience in any area preferred. 
• Possesses a strong interest in produce and customer services.
• Self-motivated, organized, attentive to details, able to manage time effectively and execute tasks independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with the staff and the public.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and special events as needed. 

• Must be able to commit to seasonal part time work weekdays throughout the year or seasonal part time work on weekends in September and October.

Fall Positions - September and October

 

Departments: Fall Activities, Farm Tours

Fall Activities Schedule: 

In September and October Arrowhead Orchard Fall Activities and Pick Your Own is open from 12pm - 8pm on Friday; 9am - 8pm on Saturday, and 12pm - 6pm on Sunday. Different shifts are available.

Farm Tours Schedule: In September and October Arrowhead Orchard Farm Tours are conducted Monday through Friday 9am - 3pm.
